Horse Riding |

The best way to experience the African bush is on
horseback. Trips ranging from half day novice rides
to full and multi day adventures for experienced
riders that reach far into impressive Teak forests,
Mopani woodland and sub-riverine bush to explore the
impressive scenery above the Batoka Gorge.
This activity allows riders to
see small game such as bushbuck or duiker, hippos
and crocodiles along the river and in the dry season
spotting of elephant and buffalo is more frequent. A
variety of birdlife can be observed along the route.
All rides are led by experienced guides, and rides
cater for experienced or novice riders.
Novice riders are accompanied on
short horse trails that last up to 3 hours. These
rides occur in an area where there is a high
concentration of game, and game viewing
opportunities are abundant. Riders are in control of
their own horses which allows guests to interact
with the horse. There will be ample opportunities to
trot, and in the opinion of the guide, riders may be
allowed to canter.
One day trips designed for riders
who own their own horses or have significant riding
experience. The minimum requirement is that a client
should have ridden at least 20 to 30 times, at least
half of this should have been in the past two years.
Riders should be able to control a horse at a
canter. |

The Victoria Falls
constitutes one of the most spectacular
natural wonders of the world. The Local
people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya" -- the smoke
that thunders and the Falls are remarkable.
Riders are in
control of their own horses which allows
guests to interact with the horse. There is a magic about
Horse Riding at the Vic Falls which is manifested in
the towering column of spray when the river
is high, the thunder of the falling water,
the terrifying abyss and tranquil lagoons
upstream in which hippo and deadly
crocodiles lurk. |
